Until further notice, the Smithtown Building will be closed.
Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild. Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. In observance of Thanksgiving, the Library will be closed Thursday, November 28. We will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.

The Battle of the Books is a county-wide competition for young adults who wish to represent their public library. The competition will take place on Friday, August 9 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge.
Help an elementary school student prepare a baked good. Each teen will receive one hour community service credit for participating.
This program may not be suitable for those with food allergies.
Ready, set, bake! Make delicious treats with help from a teen buddy.
Telephone, online and in person registration begins two months prior to program date. Open to all adult drivers regardless of age. Please bring your license to class.
