Smithtown Building Closed

Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild.  Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Do you enjoy learning about the past through historical non-fiction?  If so, be sure to join The Smithtown Library’s Historical Non-fiction Book Discussion Group.  Mediated by one of our librarians, this discussion group will feature non-fiction titles related to global, national, regional and local history topics.  We will be discussing The Secret Token: Myth, Obsession, and the Search for the Lost Colony of Roanoke by Andrew Lawler. The group will meet quarterly and books will be available at the Smithtown Building Circulation Desk one month prior to the next meeting date.
