Smithtown Building Closed

Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild.  Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Holiday Closing

In observance of Thanksgiving, the Library will be closed Thursday, November 28.  We will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.

Event Details

We will begin our day in the village of Greenport where you will have time to shop and have lunch on your own. Then we head to Orient Point for the Cross Sound Ferry's Long Island Lights Tour narrated by an experienced tour guide ready to regale you with tales of seafaring legends as well as the history of each notable sight and lighthouse. Refreshments are available for purchase on the boat. Meet at the Nesconset Building at 8:45am to board the bus. Registration for Smithtown Library cardholders begins on June 3. Registration for non-Smithtown Library cardholders begins on June 17. Fee: $70.00 includes cruise ticket, coach bus transportation and all gratuities
