Smithtown Building Closed
Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild. Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Holiday Closing
In observance of Thanksgiving, the Library will be closed Thursday, November 28. We will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.
Help us take care of our vegetable garden. This program is geared towards patrons 18 years and older with sensory issues, those on the autism spectrum or those who have other specific needs.
We will swim through a few books about our fish friends and enjoy a splashing craft.

Explore and discover art with your toddler through hands-on activities and fine motor fun. Children will take home their own masterpieces. Dress to make a mess.
Help aid local food pantries by planting, tending and harvesting vegetables in the Library’s garden bed. Meet us in the lobby to head out to the garden together. In the event of rain, this program will be held in the Community Room.

Join us for a “jaw-some” storytime all about sharks! Learn about these amazing animals, read some silly stories and make your own “fin-tastic” craft.
Learn how to make your own pop tarts that you will take home to bake.
Assist our Young Adult and Adult Reference Departments and prepare the materials needed for our seasonal bulletin boards. Each teen will earn one hour of community service.
