Smithtown Building Closed
Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild. Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Holiday Closing
In observance of Thanksgiving, the Library will be closed Thursday, November 28. We will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.
Soak up the sun and play in the sand at our library beach party. Don’t forget to bring your favorite beach towel for a tropical storytime.

The Battle of the Books is a county-wide competition for young adults who wish to represent their public library. The competition will take place on Friday, August 9 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge.
Prepare for this year’s Regents Exams at your Library. Review materials will be given out at the class. Registration begins on Monday, April 22 for Smithtown Library cardholders.
Join us for our noncompetitive, slow-paced bingo night. This program is geared towards patrons 18 years and older with sensory issues, those on the autism spectrum or those who have other specific needs.
