Smithtown Building Closed
Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild. Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Holiday Closing
In observance of Thanksgiving, the Library will be closed Thursday, November 28. We will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.

The Battle of the Books is a county-wide competition for young adults who wish to represent their public library. The competition will take place on Saturday, August 12 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge.
Help make decorations, book bundles and bookmarks for our Book Sale area. Each teen will receive one hour community service credit for participating.
Assist our Young Adult and Adult Reference Departments and prepare the materials needed for our seasonal bulletin boards. Each teen will earn one hour of community service.
Get together to play board games and tournaments on the Nintendo Switchâ„¢. Snacks will be provided.
