Smithtown Building Closed
Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild. Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Holiday Closing
In observance of Thanksgiving, the Library will be closed Thursday, November 28. We will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.
Wonderful Ones

Teach younger children how to play chess and checkers. You do not have to be an expert to volunteer but knowledge of the rules is required. Each teen will receive one hour of community service for participating.

Historical Non-fiction Book Discussion Group - Isaac's Storm
Do you enjoy learning about the past through historical non-fiction? If so, be sure to join The Smithtown Library’s Historical Non-fiction Book Discussion Group.
The Battle of the Books is a county-wide competition for young adults who wish to represent their public library. The competition will take place on Saturday, August 12 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge.

Help with King Park’s concert of the year. Children’s singer Brady Rymer is giving a performance at R.J.O. Intermediate School, and the Library needs teen volunteers to assist with setup, breakdown and other tasks throughout the evening.
