Smithtown Building Closed

Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild.  Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Holiday Closing

In observance of Thanksgiving, the Library will be closed Thursday, November 28.  We will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.

Event Details

Josephine Smith, a Shinnecock elder and Cultural Educator, will give participants the opportunity to learn about the numerous thanksgivings held throughout the year and facts that are usually not discussed.  Refreshments will be served.   This program is presented in partnership with the Town of Smithtown Unity Council.
