Smithtown Building Closed

Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to rebuild.  Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. For updates, click here

Holiday Closing

In observance of New Years, the Library will be closed on Tuesday, December 31 and Wednesday, January 1.  We will reopen on Thursday, January 2 at 9:30am.

New York State Senator Mario Mattera and The Smithtown Library invite all women ages 40 and up to visit the traveling Mobile Mammography Van from Stony Brook University Cancer Center during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  State-of-the-art 3D digital mammograms are provided on-site by New York State registered radiologists in this comfortable and private space.  Bring your insurance card if you hold insurance however, no prescription or insurance is required for screening.  Appointments should be scheduled in advance.
