Smithtown Building Closed

Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild.  Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Holiday Closing

In observance of Thanksgiving, the Library will be closed Thursday, November 28.  We will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.

Event Details

Let’s welcome summer and celebrate our beautiful waterways with a mermaid parade of our own. Dress in your best merfolk attire and join us for a costumed boardwalk parade, storytime and other activities at Sunken Meadow State Park. Join us after the program for a beach clean-up to contribute to our community. Please note: this program will meet at Sunken Meadow State Park in the Main Courtyard at Parking Field 1.
