Smithtown Building Closed

Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild.  Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Program Description

Event Details

The Korean War remains one of the least understood conflicts of modern times. Former intelligence Analyst Richard Pena provides a detailed presentation on the origin of the war, the United Nations response to North Korean aggression and the subsequent military disaster after Chinese intervention. The presentation takes you through the battles and behind the scenes decision making in Washington, Seoul and Tokyo and the far-reaching aftermath of a conflict that nearly started World War 3.
