Smithtown Building Closed

Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild.  Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Holiday Closing

In observance of Thanksgiving, the Library will be closed Thursday, November 28.  We will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.

Denise Dixon, PhD, provides a look at the neurological effects of post-traumatic stress disorder. Learn to distinguish “drama” versus “trauma,” the symptoms of PTSD and risk and resilience factors of PTSD. Resources will be provided. Please note: this is a hybrid program, Dr. Dixon will appear virtually on the big screen via Zoom while attendees will be in person.
