Smithtown Building Closed

Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild.  Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Join us on a trip to the New York Botanical Garden's Holiday
Train Show. Be transported to a winter wonderland as model trains zip through an enchanting display of more than 175 landmarks including the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and Rockefeller Center, each delightfully re-created from natural materials-birch bark, lotus pods, acorns, and cinnamon sticks. After the show, we head to Arthur Avenue for lunch on your own and time to shop. Registration begins on October 1 for Smithtown Library cardholders. Registration for non-Smithtown cardholders begins on October 15. Fee includes coach bus transportation, ticket to the show and all gratuities. Please call the library if you would like to be added to the wait list.
