Smithtown Building Closed

Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild.  Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. Holiday Closing

In observance of Veterans Day, the Library will be closed Sunday, November 10 and Monday, November 11.  We will reopen on Tuesday, November 12 at 9:30am.

Gerald Raffa, who was a federal agent employed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATFE) on 9/11, will speak about his terrifying experience of being caught in the Towers’ collapse, as well as the prelude to 9/11, and the ramifications of the attacks both immediately afterwards and decades later.
