The Battle of the Books is a county-wide competition for young adults who wish to represent their public library. The competition will take place on Friday, August 9 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge.

Put on your game face and team up and play our younger patrons in supersized games and the Nintendo Switch™.  Each teen will earn one hour of community service.

Assist the Children's Department set up and run a fun afternoon of world record challenges for younger children. Each teen will receive one hour of community service.

Looking for a good book to read and discuss with other mystery book lovers? Join us to discuss this month's book selection, A Cryptic Clue by Victoria Gilbert. This program will take place in person and will also be available on Zoom.

The Smithtown Library proudly announces it's annual free outdoor summer concert series made possible by a Suffolk County Omnibus Grant obtained by Legislator Rob Trotta.  Bring your own chair or blanket.

Create your own beautiful henna tattoos while learning about this traditional art form.  Henna tattoos are not permanent, but will last for a few weeks so please make sure you are prepared for this commitment.

Teach younger children how to play chess and checkers. You do not have to be an expert to volunteer but knowledge of the rules is required. Each teen will receive one hour of community service for participating.
