Join us every Friday for the screening of a current or classic movie.

Come assist the Children’s Department set up and run a carnival on the front lawn.  Each teen will earn three hours of community service.

Step right up to the Library for some carnival fun! Enjoy classic carnival games on the lawn, along with delicious treats and fun crafts and prizes. Please register for one spot per family.

Cool off in the LearnLab for a tour of our makerspace, then create a paper picnic lantern with the Cricut cutting machine!

The Battle of the Books is a county-wide competition for young adults who wish to represent their public library. The competition will take place on Friday, August 9 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge.

Learn how heat transfer vinyl works in the LearnLab! Design your own collage cork coaster by picking from a variety of shapes cut with the Cricut, then transfer it yourself with our hand-held EasyPress iron.

Come to the Children’s Craft Room during these hours to tinker, build and play with a variety of STEAM challenges, toys and projects.

Assemble and paint a laser cut beach sign for the summer.  A demonstration of the Library's Glowforge will be incorporated in the program.

Fulfill your passion for art.  Bring your supplies and work on your current project while you share ideas and learn new techniques from others in a relaxed atmosphere.

Grab a pen and an old napkin because we’re writing down our own poetry inspired by the one, the only, Taylor Swift.

Meet with our local group to share ideas and get feedback on your latest writing efforts.

Move to the beat of your creations as we make our own instruments and then sing, shake and groove to the music.

Meet us in the LearnLab to create garden markers for our outdoor sensory garden.  We will tend to the garden while our markers are being made.  Each teen will earn one and a half hours of community service.

It’s time to celebrate read, white and blue style. Join us for stories and create a work of art inspired by the stars and stripes. Dress to make a mess.
