Our second comic-con style all-day event with a primary focus on pop culture, celebrating fandoms and meeting other enthusiasts.

SmithCon Volunteers
Do you love Comic Con and fandoms? Then you should apply to be part of SmithCon 2019! We are looking for teens entering grades 8-12 to help staff with sign-in and different activities throughout the day. Click here for an application!

Applications are due to any Adult Reference Desk by Friday, July 19.

SmithCon Juried Art Exhibition
The Smithtown Library is excited to announce a Call for Art for its first Juried Exhibition, "A Narrative in Frames: The Art of Comics".  Click here for more information and the Artist Submission Form.

Running for Superhero Kids
Nesconset Building
Monday, July 12 • 6:00-7:00pm
(For families with children)
The Smithtown Running Co. will teach parents and children a safe and healthy way to start running, with an aim at promoting a lifetime of love for the sport.  After the clinic, everyone is welcome to join us for a fun run on the running path behind the library. Don't forget to come dressed as your favorite superhero.  Who is going to be the fastest superhero on the track? To participate in a group run, a signed waiver is required. e-Gaming Tournament
The Meta (St. James, NY)
Tuesday, July 13 • 6:30-8:30pm
(Entering grades 6-12)Think you have what it takes to win a gaming tournament? Head on over to The Meta for an Overwatch tournament. Your registration gets you in early to practice. Winner will receive an extra 10 entries for our NYCC grand prize. Fee: $5.00 per person. Registration beings Monday, July 29.
Superhero Figure Drawing Workshop

We're transforming one of the rooms in the Library into a mystery puzzle! In this interactive game, you'll have just one hour to solve puzzles, find hidden keys, and piece together clues to...escape the room. Registration beings Monday, July 29.
