Nesconset Building Teen Programs
In-person, online and telephone registration for all March programs began on Monday, February 11.
Registration for April programs begins on March 11.
Registration is required unless otherwise noted.
Programs that require fees can be paid by credit card, cash, check or money order to The Smithtown Library.
Program fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Teen programs are open to those in grades 6-12 unless otherwise noted.
Tuesday, March 5 • 4:30-5:30pm
Join Fanny Cakes Bakery and make a delicious no-bake pie in time for St. Patrick's Day. This program may not be suitable for those with food allergies.
Thursdays, March 7, 14, 21, 28 • 4:30-5:30pm
Volunteers in grades 9-12 will work one-on-one with children in grades K-5 assisting them with homework and studying. All volunteers must submit an application and a letter of recommendation prior to the start of the program. You must register for each date you wish to volunteer after submitting an application.
Thursday, March 7 • 6:15-7:15pm

Teach younger children how to play chess and checkers. You do not have to be an expert to volunteer but knowledge of the rules is required.
Friday, March 8 • 4:00-5:00pm
Celebrate Teen Tech Week with some friendly video game competition. Enjoy snacks and prizes while going head to head in Donkey Kong, Mario Kart and Duck Hunt.
Monday, March 18 • 4:00-5:00pm
Join in with friends to play some board games such as Munchkin, Apples to Apples, Boss Monster and more. Enjoy snacks and beverages as we go head to head in some friendly gaming competition. This program may not be suitable for those with food allergies.
Friday, March 22 • 4:00-5:00pm
Teen volunteers are needed to design and make bookmarks. Bookmarks will be sent to patrons who are enjoying The Smithtown Library's Homebound Mail Service.

Teen volunteers are needed to assist collecting and sorting donations as well as helping to maintain the Friends of The Smithtown Library book sale. Please register for one session only.

Celebrate National Library Week by creating a set of four coasters using scrabble tiles and some fun book phrases.
Friday, April 19 • 3:00-4:00pm
Come in and get your craft on. We will have different craft stations set up for you to create and enjoy.
Saturday, April 20 • 3:00-4:00pm
Create a springtime flower pot that features a curious bunny and real colorful plants.
Monday, April 22 • 4:00-5:00pm
Teen volunteers will be cutting and putting together craft kits to give to local seniors in our community nursing homes.
Friday, April 26 • 10:45-11:45am
Earn community service by being paired with a young child to assist him/her with reading and an art project.

Join the Baking Coach to make a delicious cookie bouquet for the spring season.
