Chess Buddies

Have you ever wanted to learn how to play chess?  Do you already know how to play chess and are looking for someone to play with? Join us for chess buddies where you will play chess with a teen volunteer.

 

Homework Help

Do you have the homework blues?  Need help studying for an upcoming test?  Let our qualified teen volunteers help you with homework, studying and projects!  Bring your work to the Library and leave feeling accomplished.  You must register for each date you wish to attend.

 

Hour of Code

Friday, December 8 • 4:15-5:00pm

Children ages 8-10 will be paired with teens in grades 6-12 for an introduction to computer coding starring characters from Star Wars. Some computer experience necessary.

 

Junior MakerSpace

Tinker in the one-of-a-kind lab that explores science, simple mechanics, elements of design, and other creative projects. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

 

Nerd Squad

Geek out over all things pop-culture in this friendly, inclusive environment. We will enjoy lively conversation as we discuss our newsletter, do fun crafts or activities and watch a short video playlist. A small snack will be served.

Are you looking for something to do on Saturday?  Come to the Library during these hours and complete some cool crafts. No registration required.

 

Delicious Holiday Dozen for Families

Come with the family and make a batch of Chef Rob's cocoa oatmeal cookies. Everyone will go home with at least two dozen cookies ready to bake for the holidays. Please register once as a family.
