Commack Branch Teen Programs

Teen Craft Night
Wednesday, November 12 • 6:00-7:00pm
Teens will be able to choose from a variety of crafts to create and take home! Register


Mosaic Mirror
Thursday, November 13 • 7:00-8:00pm
Enjoy creating a beautiful snowflake mosaic by arranging glass, sea glass and beads on top of a glass picture frame. This is a beautiful winter craft and is the perfect idea for holiday gift creations. Register


Teen Volunteer Opportunity
Monday, November 24 • 6:30-7:30pm
A variety of volunteer opportunities will be offered at the Library throughout the year.  Teens in grade 6 through grade 12 will receive community service credit for each program. Register

 
Craft Buddies Volunteers
Tuesday, November 25 • 6:30-7:30pm
Earn community service credit by assisting younger children in making a seasonal craft. Register


Book Buddies Volunteers
Tuesday, December 2 • 6:30-7:30pm
Earn community service by reading to a younger book buddy who is in grade K-grade 2.  It is a rewarding experience that you won’t want to miss. Register


Shrinky Dink Jewelry and Keychains Program
Thursday, December 4• 7:00-8:00pm
Come use Shrinky-Dinks to fashion your own custom-made necklace or key chain. You can draw or trace onto the plastic and then bake and shrink it into hard, durable pieces. Your very own artwork becomes the focus of an original design! Register

Book A Librarian

Any Smithtown Library cardholder can make an appointment with a librarian for one-on-one training in various library and computer topics. We offer 30 minute sessions in the following areas:
- Using the Library Catalog
- Introduction to Library Databases
- Downloadable eBooks and/or Audiobooks
- eReader and Tablet Demonstrations
- Introduction to Social Networking sites
- And more!

We also offer Book a Children's Librarian.  For more information call the Smithtown Main Building at 360-2480 ext. 140 or the Commack Branch at 360-2480 ext. 340.
