Teen Gardening Club
Mondays, June 12, 19, 26, July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, August 14, 21, 28, September 11, 18 • 4:00-5:00pm
During this weekly club, teens will get their hands dirty as they plant and tend a vegetable garden at the Kings Park Library. We will learn how to plant, and care for vegetables and herbs that teens will be able to bring home when the time comes to harvest.  Please dress appropriately for working outside. Register
 

Comic Book Clock
Thursday, August 10 • 7:00-8:00pm
Tell time like a superhero! In this creative program we will make a collage from provided comic books to create a fun, colorful, working wall clock. Hour, minute, and second hands along with a battery are included. Register

Art Buddies Volunteers
Monday, August 14 • 3:30-4:30pm
Enjoy earning community service by spending an afternoon paired with a younger child for some art projects. Each teen will receive one hour of community service for participating. Register

Escape the Room
Thursday, August 17• 4:00-5:00pm
The Kings Park and Nesconset branches are joining forces to escape the room! Participants at each branch will work together via video chat to solve puzzles, find hidden keys, and piece together clues. It’s a race against the clock--which branch will be the first to escape? Register

Science Buddies Volunteers
Saturday, August 19 • 3:00-4:00pm
Join this innovative program which pairs teens and children together to work with simple, but awesome projects that explore science, engineering and math. Teens receive an hour of community service for participating. Register

Zumba for Teens
Monday, August 21• 5:00-6:00pm
Exercise while learning the hottest dance moves set to high-energy, Latin-inspired music. It’s a dance fitness party! Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring a bottle of water. Register

Teen Art Studio
Tuesday, August 22• 4:00-5:00pm
Enjoy a relaxing time in our Teen Art Studio. This month we will be decorating notebooks. Register

Game Buddies Volunteers
Tuesday, August 24• 3:00-4:00pm
Earn community service credit by playing fun board games with younger children. Each teen will receive one hour of community service for participating. Register

A variety of volunteer opportunities will be offered at the Library throughout the year. Each teen will receive one hour of community service. Register
