Zumba for Teens

Learn the best dance moves set to high-energy, Latin-inspired music with Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha, Samba and Hip Hop.  Some people think of Zumba as exercise, some as a dance class… we think of it as fun night out!  Join the party!  Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing and bring a bottle of water.  Register
 
Getting Ready to Babysit
Monday, August 22• 5:00-8:00pm
This course is designed to help tweens and teens develop the skills necessary for the responsibility of being a sitter - child safety, developmental stages of childhood and how to plan activities that are age appropriate. Hands-on activities and course certification are included. A non-refundable fee of $17 for each particpant is due at registration which begins June 20 at 10am. Registration is limited to 24 participants, so sign up early if you are interested in this valuable program. Register
 
Sports Cookies for Teens

Get in the game and come decorate cookies. We will be using fondant to create a variety of designs. Register
 
Junior MakerSpace Volunteers
Friday, August 26• 10:45-11:45am
Join this volunteer program and help young children tinker in this one of a kind lab that explores science, simple mechanics, elements of design and other creative projects. Each teen will be paired with child to make a unique creation. Register
 
Teen Volunteer Opportunity

Monday, September 19• 4:00-5:00pm
A variety of volunteer opportunities will be offered at the Library throughout the year. Teens will receive community service credit for each program. Register
 
SAT Review
Wednesdays, September 7, 14, 21 and 28• 6:00-8:30pm
Over 2 million students will be taking the SAT's this year; if you're one of them, how prepared are you? This indispensable four-week course will be led by long-time SAT instructors. Includes a study book. Fee: $88 per person. Register

DIY Paint Chip Calendar

College Essay Writing Workshop
Thursday, September 29• 7:00-8:30pm
Don't be afraid of the college essay! This 90-minute session will give students a chance to breakthrough writer's block, read successful student models, revise ideas, get constructive criticism and understand what a polished final draft should look like before it's sent to schools.
