DIY Robots Volunteers
Tuesday, July 5• 2:30-4:15pm
Come help young children create their very own one-of-a-kind robot using boxes and other odds and ends. Each teen will work with a child to complete this craft.  Each participant will receive two hours of community service.  Register
Mutt Club Volunteers
Thursday, July 7• 10:15-11:15am
Give our animal friends a helping hand - work together with young children to create donations for shelter animals in need. Mutt Club is a  Mutt-i-grees in the Library program, an extension of the Mutt-i-grees Movement and Curriculum, a unique approach to humane education, social and emotional learning.  Each participant will receive 1 hour of community service. Register
Fitness Quest

In this program teens will have a grand adventure and develop library research skills as they track down hidden clues in order to uncover a mysterious secret formula. All participants have their own clues to find and proceed at their own pace, so everyone wins! Register
Infant/Child CPR
Tuesday, July 12• 5:30-8:30pm
Learn how to save a life! This course, endorsed by the National Safety Council, will instruct students in lifesaving techniques for infants and children.  Certification will be received upon completion of this 3-hour course.  Non-rundable program fee: $35.00. Register
Tinker Thinker Volunteers
Wednesday, July 13• 2:45-3:45pm
Teens will help children explore art and science activities to express creativity and build problem solving skills. Each teen will receive one hour of community service. Register
Water Balloon Flip Flops
Saturday, July 16• 11-Noon
Do you want to add color and texture to your plain and boring flip flops? If so, join us for this simple summer craft.  Please bring a pair of flip flops with you and all other materials will be provided. Register
Field Day Volunteers
Tuesday, July 19• 10:00-11:00am
Bring yourself back to elementary school by assisting young children in field day activities.  Each participant will receive one hour of community service. Register
Non-Contact Sports Injuries and the Adolescent Athlete
Tuesday, July 19• 7:00-8:00pm
Presented by Inner Strength Sports Conditioning's Jim Fanara, CSCS; Jim will review factors contributing to the increased risk of knee, elbow, shoulder and back injuries.  He will also cover how to identify the "At-Risk" athlete, thereby providing a framework for parents and coaches to assess who is most at-risk.  Other topics include why post-surgery physical therapy clearance is not necessarily a green light for immediate return to competition. Library Buddies Volunteers

Earn community service by being paired with a young child to assist him/her with reading and an art project.  All participants will receive one hour of community service. Register
Getting Ready to Babysit
Monday, August 22• 5:00-8:00pm
This course is designed to help tweens and teens develop the skills necessary for the responsibility of being a sitter - child safety, developmental stages of childhood and how to plan activities that are age appropriate. Hands-on activities and course certification are included. A non-refundable fee of $17 for each particpant is due at registration which begins June 20 at 10am. Registration is limited to 24 participants, so sign up early if you are interested in this valuable program. Register
