Junior Makerspace Volunteers
Monday, April 13 3:45-4:45pm
Join this volunteer program and help young children tinker in this one of a kind lab that explores science, simple mechanics, elements of design and other creative projects. Each teen will be paired with a child to make a unique creation. Register
 
Woven Bracelets for Teens CANCELLED

Learn how to make this complex looking bracelet with some simple weaving moves. Please indicate a color when registering; neon or rainbow.
 
Craft Buddies Volunteers

DIY Bird Feeders for Teens

Teen Volunteer Opportunity

A variety of volunteer opportunities will be offered at the Library throughout the year. Teens will receive community service credit for participation in each program. Register
 
Book Roses for Teens

Learn how to make these recycled roses from old book pages. All supplies will be provided. Register
 
Book Buddies Teen Volunteers
Thursday, May 14 • 3:30-4:30pm
Thursday, May 21 • 4:00-4:30pm
Earn community service by reading to a younger book buddy. It is a rewarding experience that you won't want to miss. Teens must attend both sessions and the half hour training on May 14 to participate in the Book Buddies Volunteer program at our Kings Park Branch and Smithtown Main Building. Register
 
Watercolors for Teens

Due to budget cuts, the IRS will only be sending a limited selection of tax forms to the Library for distribution. Additionally, they will not be sending any instructions.  You can also order forms and instructions directly from the IRS by calling 1-800-829-3676 or by clicking here.

Recycle Station

The Smithtown Library collects the following items for recycling:
- Cell Phones
- Eyeglasses
The Library no longer accepts batteries for recycling. The Town of Smithtown now allows residents to dispose of household batteries in their garbage.
