Celebrate Chinese New Year – The Year of the Monkey

Come to the library and celebrate The Year of the Monkey!  In the Chinese culture, this is a most special holiday.  We’ll read stories all about Chinese New Year and create a special Chinese Lantern and dragon for you to take home.  (That means “Happy New Year” in Chinese!)

 

Cheerio Bird Feeder

Our little feathered friends love to have delicious treats to eat.  Join us as we make a bird feeder out of Cheerios that you can hang on your tree at home. Yum, yum!

 

Happy Presidents’ Day

Meetings will include exclusive first looks at the Library's new graphic novels, cool projects and crafts and of course, a chance to chat up all things graphic novels with friends. Join Simply Creative Chef Rob Scott this Chinese New Year as he teaches us to make  super-sized fortune cookies with tortillas seasoned with cinnamon sugar, ready to take home and bake. We will make fortune sayings ready to tuck inside after baking!
