Featured Children's Book

9780803737495 p0 v1 s260x420Benjamin Franklin is a true Renaissance Man!  Many biographies have been written, but, Electric Ben: The Amazing Life and Times of Benjamin Franklin, deserves a look.  Upon opening the book, the reader is drawn in by the end papers filled with witty Franklin quotes!  Chronicling his life and accomplishments from birth to adult, author/illustrator Robert Byrd, creates a truly fascinating image of Franklin that makes for an enjoyable read.  Due to the picture book format, but nonfiction content, this book can be adored by a wide audience.  So take a tip from Franklin himself, and check this book out because "an investment in knowledge always pays the best interest."

All families and caregivers are encouraged to read at least 1000 books with their young children before they enter Kindergarten. Reading to preschool-age children builds vocabulary, language skills, and helps prepare them for Kindergarten. Families can build the skills needed for future success.
