Teen Volunteer Opportunities
Can’t fit our volunteer opportunities into your schedule?
The Smithtown Library now offers one-hour volunteer sessions by appointment! Teens in grades 6-12 can spend time at the Library working on a variety of projects to help make a difference in our community. Teens may schedule up to two time slots per month. For more information or to schedule a session, call any our our building's Reference Desk at (631) 360-2480.
Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
Join us to make seasonal decorations that will be donated to local nursing homes.
Help aid local food pantries by planting, tending and harvesting vegetables in the Library’s garden bed. Meet us in the lobby to head out to the garden together. In the event of rain, this program will be held in the Community Room.
Help young children score a strike in our home-made indoor bowling alley.
Create origami monster bookmarks to be handed out to children in our library. Each teen will earn one hour of community service.
Make bags full of birthday goodies for patrons of our Children's Department to enjoy.
